It is with deep regret that I have to inform you that I will be leaving the World Community Grid. After over 500 or so posts, this will be the last one.

My action is prompted by recent events in the forums by David Bell of My On-line Team and the disclosure that he is one of the Community Admins, Lewis Carroll. His attacks on Johnny Cool over the past month coupled with his behaviour as "full diaper" and "thumper bumper" is disgraceful and together with the recent antics by MOT (strange that's it's always the same team) has, in my view, lowered the "quality of life" in the WCG forum. I have publicly asked Mr. Bell to resign as a C.A, a title he no longer, by his actions deserves to hold. To date, no response by Mr. Bell has been made nor has my message to the WCG, requesting his removal, been responded to. His fellow C.A's have, while not condoning Lewis Carroll's actions have chosen to mount a personal attack on myself, some of whom are fellow members of MOT. I assume that the WCG, in not responding, thinks that Mr. Bell's actions are inline with forum policy. "You get the C.A's the forum deserves" but I think this community deserves better!

Well I am tired of all this and I now choose to take my resources away from the WCG, as each PC finishes it's current WU, the WCG software will be removed.

I am investigating setting up a branch of Team Seychelles on another project. The team statistics box has been changed to reflect this. So in the future there may well be two branches of Team Seychelles crunching for a common causes. All the team facilities will be left in place, forum, stats, banners etc, although the team website will be altered to reflect the change. If any body wants more information I can be reached through the team forum or the Webmaster contact on the webbie.

I express my thanks to the visitors to this thread especially JC. I hope I have amused you at some point.

To Rudi, Rob and Akela.. what can I say... Thanks for your company, most of the time it's been a lot of fun. Good luck with whatever you do in the future......

Tony, I *strongly* urge that you take some time to reconsider this idea of leaving.

Forget what happened in the past. I consider it as that; the past. I am *quite* sure everything will be fine.

You are a *very* integral part of this Team. All the time and devotion keeping this thread going with all those wonderful posts, as well as your crunching.

Your Team Mates would miss your greatly, and obviously, so would I.

So would *many* Members of other Teams; like mine.

Take some time to think about this. I only hope that you will stay here.

Rudi, I would also *strongly* encourage you to stay as well. Take some time off and think about it. It would be *very* sad to see this great Team 'melt" away.
