Flange locking the thread is the last straw.... I will also withdraw the machines as they come up. Rudi, I would also *strongly* encourage you to stay as well. Take some time off and think about it. It would be *very* sad to see this great Team 'melt" away. It is with deep regret that I have to inform you that I will be leaving the World Community Grid. ... snipped reasons ... Dude, people here have ticked me off more than once. Just ignore them, and stick around. If you leave, then you let them win. Just stick around for a couple more months and I'll have most of these stuffed-shirts singin' rap music and break-dancin'. I have spoken to Psycho and he has no desire to become Capt and may also pull out. Rob hasnt responded to Tonys mail...... so that leaves you unless you want kev to grab the team. |

Tony, I too think the locking of your letter was premature. While I think the use of pseudonyms for the admins is a good idea I think locking your thread so soon was a horrific mistake. I would ask you all that are thinking about leaving why you’re here. If you’re here because you believe in this project then don’t let these boards distract you from the goal. If you’re here because for the social aspect then we can talk. Either way don’t get run off so soon. A day or two of upset is too early to quit on all the work you have in here. |

Akela we are not deserting you, the coconauts are made of stearner stuff. Whistlin will support you here and anybody else is most welcome to join. I have sent you an e-mail outlining our plans.
In response to those who have posted here Rudi and I appreciate your comments. Rudi and I will be crunching at folding@home and building the team from there under Team Coconauts, but for the reasons outlined earlier we will not be returning to the WCG, and that is final. Rudi's departure was not planned but he feels as I do that the admin's structure needs to be revised and this is the only way we can demonstrate our disgust at the actions the C.A's have taken. The lack of action by the Project Manager is deplorable. Locking the thread denies the right to reply and thus free speech, the fact that it was locked by an admin shows they are only protecting themselves. I now also call upon "Flange" to resign as well. Bill we have been trying for months to get something sorted I wish you luck, but I won't hold my breath! Our team number at F@H is 49110. Now this really is time to say Good Bye... |

I guess we can chock up yet another team death though I am unsure as to why it happened this time. I can certainly understand the feelings.
