Hi there Feckit hugs

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that your Cruncher is in still sick-bay, it's always a bit of a pain when things go wrong worried hope you can get things fixed soon.

Meanwhile, how are things going with the patches? Or is that a bit of a no-go area whilst your PC is giving trouble? Don't suppose it helps. But anyway, all the best if you are still persevering batting eyelashes

Re: Crunching @ PCReview

PC is on life support as we speak, it needs a massive over-haul which will take a few weeks to do.
Aim to try to do things this week if possible, but got a week of 0400 starts!!
Why do we only have 24 hours in a day!!!!!

Patch's going OK, but a bit stressed out over the PC & Work.

Hope all is OK in the Feline World & Wales.

Re: Crunching @ PCReview

I'm sorry to hear about the PC Feckit, it is stressful enough when things go wrong with them (we rely on our's for so many things here, it's worse than having the phone break-down) so not surprised that you are feeling the effects. Particularly with the 4 am starts! shock

But if you can ride this out without cracking, (re the patches) then I think you can feel justifiably proud of yourself. Wishing you all the very best with this one, I'm sure you'll do it. cool

All is pretty good here in this country of leek-wavers and moggies, thank you. I have another date with the dentist later on, but just for a check-up this time. biggrin

Feeling a bit naughty today though... I've just discovered the world of on-line games, and it is sooo addictive - to the point where I completely forgot to upload my WUs yesterday. (Always do it manually, because I'm on dial-up, but hoping to change that shortly and go over to adsl.)

Take care, and good luck hugs

Re: Crunching @ PCReview

Hi All,
Been away in the Peak District of Derbyshire for a week of hiking and sightseeing. What a lovely area ( the good weather helped). Never been here before despite only being 2 hours from home - we tend to go to the Lakes or Scottish Borders. Super little villages and pubs and lots of walks. Will definately go back sometime.

Hope everyone well. smile

Hi there Crunch-Buddies hugs

Hope all are well? Sounds like you had a great time Nivrip, must have been lovely to be in the Peak District at this time of year, I haven't ever been, but the scenery (in photos) always looks superb. I love autumn smile

Getting to feel chillier here now, but it was a really nice sunny day, be good if it lasts over the weekend too.

Take care everyone batting eyelashes

Re: Crunching @ PCReview

Hey TC,
Is it right that you are not yet on broadband? If so how do you manage to accumulate so many WCG points each day?

Am I missing something? If so, please let me know.

Thanks

Niv smile

Hi Crunch Buddies hugs

Nivrip - yes, that is quite right, I'm not (yet) on broadband, but you really don't need to have it to be able to crunch. I just upload completed WUs about once a day and at the same time, new ones are downloaded too - doesn't take long
and can even be done in the background when you are doing other things.

The only difference (apart from speed) with not having broadband, is that I cannot set the internet "Activity" tab to "Always Available" because clearly I'm not able to keep the connection on 24/7.... but that is not a problem, I just suspend it until it's convenient to upload and that works out fine.

Having said all of that, I am actually looking in to getting broadband, because it would be more convenient to be able to connect more than one PC at a time... now that is a bit of a drag lol.

Crunch in good health folks hugs
