Niv - you are making jolly good progress by the look of it, well done  Hi TC, My progress continues on my daughter's BB and I have decided to give up on the dial up on my PC - it's just causing too much hassle. Even the guys on PCR have not been able to come up with any magic answers. My new PC is sitting in the dining room (much to the annoyance of my missus) all ready to go but I can't get BB till 20-11-07 and that's the week I'm away on holiday.  Typical.Still, I'll be there eventually. I notice that you are turning out some good results now you're on BB and it must be much easier for you. Keep up the good work. All the best, Niv  Thank you Niv  I'm sorry you haven't been able to get to grips with crunching on dial-up, but I'm sure you will be really happy when you get your broadband fixed-up. Aww, shame that it clashes with your holiday - but nice to look forward to after returning home  Yes, I find that crunching is much less of a hassle now that I don't need to keep connecting to upload/download. However, it looks as if I will need to change some setting or other on XP, because BOINC keeps searching for internet access and failing  although it gets through without any problem when I log into the router, etc. Vista is fine though. So, being early days, I really must look into what setting I need to alter  I thought your pics in PCR were great - instant holidays on your doorstep. Take care Niv and  Crunch-Buddies all |

I thought your pics in PCR were great - instant holidays on your doorstep. Thanks for that, TC. Yes I can be to all those places on the photos within 15 minutes or less. Lots of beautiful countryside and hills here. And I'm often along the Tees valley which is also a lovely area. Most people think of the Tees as an industrial river, which of course it is, down at its mouth. But upstream it's wonderful walking country and we have England's highest waterfall at High Force. Off to the Aviemore area in about 10 days for more excercise

Do some part time work in Haverton Hill - yes, there are still some buildings there
