Re: Minnesota Crunchers

This is a "tweet" from Paul Douglas a few hours ago:
Still too early to panic or celebrate, but GFS model prints out 16-18" for metro area Christmas Eve/Day, 22" at Rochester, very white X-Mas?

Someone in our team is going to be very busy plowing snow. Sorry it has to happen on the holidays. Hope you get double time and a half, that would make up for it in my book. ;)

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Hello fellows 8D

So white here, like Skandinavia should be....

Enought weather, some banking stuff.....

I think Greece is going down next....
Yield between Greece gov -bond agains Teutonic ones has climbed to 2,7%.....

I'm not yet clear about big picture on after market / emissions, but it really looks like there really going to be some Xmass presents on this year.

Does not look good for the Greeks. Too much debt. Also heard carbon market in Europe is volatile, high beta. I do not understand it well enough to hazard a guess. I will watch and wait.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

I think it looks so very fine on risk horizon..

If we take look back of time on when Iceland was having high water mark with their tiny little carry trade. They proudly present themselves as state of US more that part of ancient Europe.
When they went bankruptcy, ECB was there to safe them with open check...

ECB would never/ever let Greece go down... It is just not possible....

It just seems to me that Greece government bond start to yield at least same way as investment grade high yields... Or even lot more....
But there is not any kind of risk finally if you can hold bond up to maturity.

If Greece default, then we do not have EU on form that we have it right now. And if that happen, then Teutonic govbond start to yield 300%.....

I can live both ways 8D

Looks like we will be plowing and cleaning up for about a week if week get what they are calling for. Anywhere from 6 to 16 inches. The metro is looking to be the target zone too. I will get 2 and a half over time on christmas. At least I don't start till noon so get a little time with the family. Merry Christmas to all crunchers.

Can you speak at all about whether or not MNDOT will be able to keep highway 52 open between St. Paul and Rochester if we do get 1-2 feet of snow?

just got off shift. Barely able to keep up. The snow is coming down to hard. Best thing is to stay off the roads until the storm is over. If you have to go out, watch out for the idiots and drive slow. Were doing 12 hour shifts. I go back at noon. Be safe out there.
