Poor guy!
I read, he won't be able to drive for 2 months. Italian newspapers want, that Michael Schumacher takes over his car for the next 2 races. Nonsense for me! Ferrari has 2 very good test drivers, Badoer and Gene, who could do the job. |

I think it will be something of a miracle if he is really fit enough to return to F1 in two months but I really hope it can come to pass.

An optic nerve in his left eye is possibly injured. He is not able to open the eye full, therefore the meds cannot investigate that.
The docs say, that it's more and more unlikely that he can start again in this season. |

....and even if he will be able to resume racing at all. That would be very sad, he's such a nice fella.

....and even if he will be able to resume racing at all. That would be very sad, he's such a nice fella. That's right, and he had more bad luck than any other driver! [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 28, 2009 7:55:44 PM] |

It seems, that BMW will leave the F1. Later on there is a press conference about it.

Now it's shure: BMW leaves the F1 after this season.

Now it's shure: BMW leaves the F1 after this season. Yup - that's sad news for the sport. F1 is going through a bad period. The FOTA debate seems to keep getting a life of it's own. Bernie Ecclestone and Max Mosley wield way too much power.

Good to hear better news of Massa. It seems he is out of intensive care, can see out of his left eye without trouble so could possibly make a full recovery.
As for BMW, I think that's predictable. If you're not winning anything you're not getting very good publicity for the very large amounts you're spending. I see they'll concentrate on sports car events which registers with their customers rather more. |
