Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 31 smilesmile

Well I'm getting whatever is cheap on Black Friday. It's for my gaming not for PS3Grid (even though I'll crunch).

Here ya go, Blizzie. Not cheap, but you know you want it!

Not worth it. I can build my own for cheaper and I can overclock it.

It doesn't even list what motherboard is in that PC.

Edit: Here's a quick build

EVGA X58 SLI Motherboard - $339

Core i7 920 - $320
G.Skill 6 GB (2x3 GB) PC3 12800 - $280
EVGA 260 GTX Core 216 - $270
CORSAIR CMPSU-1000HX - $240 OR CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX - $99

Case, harddrive, etc is preference. :)
But above is what I would get if I were to build a i7.

Humm ... your total above is ~$1500 with a case and drive. Difference is just ~$300. So your time to build it is worth $300 ... minus shipping, handling & tax? Small profit margin. wink I'd just order one. biggrin

It's better building your own. smile
+overclock

RT. I would not jump and buy one right now.. I hear Intel are releasing better i7s Q1 of next year.

I used to have access to dates and details on Intel Processors. Since I retired, not so much; or any at all. sad

I will see what I can find out about the Intel processor roadmap (what it used to be called) prior to buying. As you know, though, there is always something better coming.

I always wait until AMD builds a competitive chip and then buy the Intel when the price drops...

Thanks, DM. Floored me they picked that for first! In case you didn't get the note from WCG, DM is refering to This video. They left off part of it as you can see here in the original on YouTube. Wonder if MyOnlineTeam will see any new members from it. I also made this as another submission.

Dave, I believe the saying is "Age before beauty."
Amazing that the video starts with a plug for MOT!
