...In other news, I'm sorely tempted to move my quad from WCG back to QMC because I miss the extra points... Let it run both. Easy to manage with the resource share values and makes for a nice compromise.  I wonder what version of the BOINC server code QMC runs? I thought one of the 6.x levels for servers was going to take on the problem of projects that over or under-grant credit for the same amount of work when compared to other projects. |

I thought one of the 6.x levels for servers was going to take on the problem of projects that over or under-grant credit for the same amount of work when compared to other projects. Not exactly. Each project can set its own multiplier for claimed vs. credit. Lots of rain here. QMC produces roughly 1.8X more points per hour than WCG on my quad. My quad just eats up QMC units. My laptop oddly seems to prefer WCG as I only see about 1.2X more points on QMC vs WCG. |

In case you haven't noticed it yet, MOT became one of the top 250 teams across BOINC projects today. We also passed 25 million credits. Now to strive for Top 200! GO TEAM MOT! In other news, I'm sorely tempted to move my quad from WCG back to QMC because I miss the extra points... Are we crunching for points?  Me??? No, I am crunching to find the cures or the solutions to other problems. Points are statistics that you cannot cash in for twinkies, bubble gum or airline miles. I agree that they are fun to watch but hardly the objective. (Just my opinion) |
