Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

yes it is nice to have a stream of results of course right now i am working on cep2 and c4cw as well so i only get a small smattering of WU's from this project at this time.

I am glad that they are coming nicely at this time and hopefully we have gotten to a point in the project that they will continue this way for a while

Yep, with 13 pages of PV, I also feel that the "greedy ones" should start to release the tasks soon. (Whether crunched or aborted, I leave that up to them)

5-day cache (or more) can hardly be considered "for the good of the project". wink

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Yesterday DDDT2 had 22,267 results validating where HCC had 221,203 for perspective of the technical side. MOREOVER, WCG has consciously chosen to trickle the supply so all can have their fill. Some then can complete that in the blink of an eye, others needing longer. The deadline is 10 days, so as long as all volunteers return them before that, small or big, all is fine.

edit: As of noon, the latest received here is a b_g23_b221_b230. The 'a' went through a_g50_a491_a500 i.e. we're not even half way in distributing the present set, which to remind will go d_g22.

That's a good strategy, SekeRob. This encourages project mixing and crunching with a low cache on set&forget. At least for me it did so ;)

Trickling the drizzle is better than lowering feeder prio, which encourages rain panic and stockpiling until the dam bursts ten days later.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

it is working fine for me also not complaining. I just can't beleive how many I have in PV that were sent out on the 18th. Guess we will see what happens in 2 more days.
Meanwhile my 1 day cache along side of cep2 is crunching away at both..

I hope you are correct Sek. I only have 68 days left to hit Emerald. I need a couple more days of rain to keep my 6 day cache full and then I will have that lovely green badge.

mwgiii - I am sure Sek is right. I hit emerald some time this morning, but it won't show up until the second update today. Now I am on my way to the saphire, both with DDDT2 and CEP2. wink

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

It seems my various prayers, in churches, temples, pagodas, candels burning, incense burning, sacrificing CPU's, motherboards, memory sticks to the gods of crunching, have finally paid off. The gods of WCG have finally heard my terrible cry and saw my tears. praying praying praying
Since I came back from a trip in Vietnam around mid January, I received an incredible shower of WU's like it never happened since I started this project. After months of drought and hunger, I received exactly 70 Wu's in about ten days and maybe more to come. dancing dancing dancing
I am doing somersaults around my home, and my wife does not understand the reasons of such a joy. You all understand that I cannot explain. Only crunchers deeply addicted can understand. biggrin
