Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Well get unsurprised for the future ;-)... simply means that the first of a set of quorums were picked up by different platform, pure by chance, so the wingman/men is/are designated to go there too.

--//--

Note to self: Wonder if it is covered in the FAQ's, certainly, one of the techs confirmed that understanding several times.

edit: Certainly seems like there's a new wave record developing for this run... first peaked last Monday with 26,692 validated results, yesterday higher than that and today possibly surpassing 27,600 validations... a run for the last batches as setup to become "Repair faehig" again for the afterburn. [just got a d141] \o/... 80 more groups to go.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Addendum:

Added an item to the FAQ index for "(there was work but it was committed to other platforms)"

Interesting to stats addicts: The project phase launched Feb. 17, 2010 and last month we crunched up 153 CPU years or 1/4th of the total to date. This last run of ts02 may well exceed 200 CPU years. That's the equivalent of 5,200 bronze badges :P

Hi SekeRob,
is the hr-setting for DDDT2 fine-grained or coarse-grained? differences
Btw: When you added the external link to the FAQ, you forgot the right round bracket within the link.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

FAIK, DDDT-2 is platform HR only i.e coarse grained. There are a few that are more refined, I think v.v different Mac OSX versions and HCMD is more very granulated, at CPU type on top, but that is purely for speed matching, so the number of positions by the quorum wingman are relatively equal. The child generation then leads to least redundant repeat calculations.

Thanks for pointing out the FAQ link glitch. Will fixed next visit. Don't think we have a specific HR topic, so your link comes in handy.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

g22_d211 just rolled in and this group seem smaller:

Sun 06 Feb 2011 11:14:11 AM CET World Community Grid Finished download of ts02_d_g22_d211_to_d214_typeC_ts02_d211_ts02_phi_18.dat.gzb

And for the very last ones... "come to pappa"

SOFLL

edit: per seippel on January 17, the "last batch of work units is ts02_d_g22_d211_to_d214_typeC.", got one of the very latest "First Issue" work. Now it's onto the repair/no reply cycle. Took about 19 days to all get grabbed meaning an average of 28,500 per day, just over the daily peak validations, so far.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

So we are already out of new tasks?

I see I have one repair job - that is it. At least I managed to get a bronze badge.

Oh well, back to crunching the tasks that I have ruby badges that are a looooong way off from emerald with occasional clean energy.

It does seem that this raining season is coming to an end. I haven't received new WU in several hours.
