Re: Talk of Expected Completion date of HCC

Well said indeed. Good luck with your battle nasher!

Last year I lost my dad to esophageal cancer. He never really had a chance, within half a year he was gone.

The cancer projects have become my primary projects since then. Any health related project is worth doing, but cancer has a special meaning for me right now.

Re: Talk of Expected Completion date of HCC

Yes,

Sekerob doesn't update the charts everyday(neither should he).

I have noticed that the Status/Complt % field has been updated but the days remaining has not changed for a few days. It seems some of the data is updating.

Yes you never know when one project will come up with a new insight that helps with all the other areas of science! Love this project and realize the toll it takes but all constructive and even some destructive(military) science is worth pursuing!

Re: Talk of Expected Completion date of HCC

I really like that last part...
....and and and but for every day you don't see a 30 day notice you'll know it's at least 31 ;O
wink

Silly I know but I am trying to get to 100 years of HCC and am only at 68 now...so it is looking really iffy.

3 weeks later and that days-left value is still stuck to 65, with last night 190 million tasks validated. Need to check why it's not moving. Over at Cape Canaveral [Hey I'm old, when schools were real], they're familiar with countdown holds ;-)

Re: Talk of Expected Completion date of HCC

Unless I'm reading your chart wrong, both the rate of completion and the moving average are dropping. Not that this would make the remaining days stay at 65, but HFCC and other factors (summer) may have had a larger impact than expected.

Re: Talk of Expected Completion date of HCC

(# of days left) = (100/(percent done) - 1)*(# of WU done) / (# of WU per day)

so using Sekerob's chart to fill in the equation you get :

(# of days left) = (100/92.44 - 1)*(190,031,543)/400,000 = 39 days left -- Sept 25th

Sekerob's chart is now showing 118 days and 77.54 % complete.

What happen?

Sekerob's chart is now showing 118 days and 77.54 % complete.

I saw that also and wondered if it was accurate.
