coffee coffee coffee Good Friday Morning MOT coffee coffee coffee

Congratulations Fanie! applause

Can you believe the World Series? That was crazy! Oh well, the craziness will end tonight (presuming that they get to play).

Another million point day yesterday. biggrin

I lament the old days and bar bets and the like. Now my wife can talk into her phone while we are driving down the Interstate and find out what a Yellowhammer is (a bird of the bunting family) or the name of the airplane that dropped the bomb on Hiroshima (Enola Gay). BTW Enola Gay was the name of the Pilot's mother. His name was Col. Paul Warfield Tibbets. She hated her name as backwards it spelled alone.

Technology has lots of unintended consequences; some good and some bad. Sometimes I wonder if this inexorable entwinement is a good thing; it certainly is interesting. At the very end of my Grandfathers life he saw TV and was amazed by it. Pictures through the air. I wonder what he would think of my wife running Google verbally while traveling at 70MPH in the middle of no-friggin-where (West Texas).

It is a crying shame that my peers and I will not live another 70 to 100 years to see what comes; for those interested and observant it will be a hoot.

Hopefully some set of idiots or other does not use one of the myriad technologies to end it all for everyone. There in itself is an argument for some of us to immigrate to another planet.

Smile... I can just see myself getting to make the selections. No, not what you are thinking or perhaps... I am sitting here just thinking about the selection criteria. wink

Everyone have a great day and Thanks for doing good. smile smile

Think [surely he's not doing an lm of team plugging ;P], RT mis-posted this and then wrote a new one in his own team thread, but Pecos, I'd not be writing that record revelation anywhere with Chuck Norris in the neighborhood... even his shadow keeps a respectable distance. wink

Sorry about that post in this thread. Obviously I did it in error...and when I "came back" to the team thread, it was missing. Being the forgetful sort I guessed that I just forgot to post it and so, rewrote it. Again sorry.
Many years ago, I used to make some really fast trips in my Corvettes. Nowadays I rarely get over 75. My speed limiter (Mrs.) keeps a close eye on the speedo and between lasers and radar, you can't get away with the speeds we used to for very long.

I want to get 100 years of HCC before it ends. I am at 84 years now and running full blast on it. It looks iffie. Everyone have a great day.
