The chart I was looking at was from this thread:
http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=18277

The first chart - Active/Intermittant Research Dashboard

This chart said 65 days remaining for HCC for several days but all of a sudden it changed to 118. Just not sure what's up. Any ideas?

Re: Talk of Expected Completion date of HCC

The number of HCC WUs I have in progress has been going way down while the number of HFCC has been increasing. I have both of these selected and I may want to deselect HFCC so I can give more attention to HCC at this time.

Re: Talk of Expected Completion date of HCC

dkt that is what I did. I have about 2 weeks or possibly 2 1/2 weeks before I hit my goal on HCC. Then I will open up HFCC and HCMD2 again at that time.

Re: Talk of Expected Completion date of HCC

Coleslaw, what is your goal? I see you have over 2 years and I have over 5, but I haven't decided what goal I want to shoot for. Perhaps 10 years. I only get approximately 10 days for each calendar day so one year takes approximately 36 days. We have less than 120 days left which means almost 3 cpu years. Maybe 8 years is a more realistic goal, but why shoot for realism.

Re: Talk of Expected Completion date of HCC

I am shooting for 5 years. I have approximately 8-10 cores/threads on this, but they also do some NCI + CUDA work units for other projects. Then, I have a lot of borged systems that do some work here and also work at other projects. My daily output cycles, so I only estimate based on the systems I have on in my home. I will most likely get there sooner, but tragedies happen. During the summer, I had to shut down half my farm, so the systems in my garage are cold right now. That is 5+ threads I COULD have going, but my electric is too strained.

I currently have a little over 6 years in HFCC, so my real focus will probably be HCMD2 to try and get it to 5.

On a happier note, I may be picking up a hyper threaded dual core netbook soon, so that would add 4 more cpu days/day for me... biggrin
