Re: "The survivors"

That's not bad blushing
What's the E for? East of you?
And the 01? No. 1 on a weekly basis? Please say yes!

If we add the 3,777 in Base Camp Forum as little mermaid and the 1996 as the ugly duckling there
- and those in the EVGA Crunchers' Forum and the Team Musketeers and Facebook and .... oh, I'm sick! crying
Still I find time to eat and sleep and swim and walk and talk and dance on a fragile pink cloud

I think RCC has been standing too close to his overclocked computers.

It looks like he divided your total posts in the forum (5897) by the number of days
since you joined WCG, to get the average posts per day (~15.38) and then changed the plain old number that we all know and understand in to scientific notation, which nobody understands.

[Try doing scientific notation on an Abacus!] devilish

That's more like it, grumpygrampy

Re: "The survivors"

little mermaid,
Yes, you are number 1.
E stands for exponent or exponentiation.
E01 means base 10 with an exponent of 1
1.538120104438640E+01 = 1.538120104438640 x10 = 15.somethin

grumpygrampy,
Scientific notation is an accepted way to express vast numbers.
Vast as in the number of posts per day by little mermaid.
I would check to see if there is an app for the Abacus.

Re: "The survivors"

You are the funniest bunch in this hi-tech lab
- not much different in the principle from The Edwardians' Parlour
- each has its distinct flavour/flavor
- you use the most picturesque language, too, in both places
- a unique mixture of down-to-earth-ness, magnificent imagination, steely facts and
bits and bytes in English and in American
- all based on a profound knowledge that doesn't stop here or anywhere
- so physical age doesn't count - even with the young ones - as long as minds are this open rose

Re: "The survivors"

Welcome to the gang, ygelfand.

Now the contest begins - to figure out the derivation of the name 'ygelfand'.

is it a contraction, a psuedonym, an antonym, a synonym, or some other nym?

If you lived in Philadelphia, i'm guessing "Eagles Fan".

biggrin
