Re: "The survivors"

All is well.
Uninstalled version 6 thru control panel. Something was evidently left behind, because:
New version 7.0.25 installed with no problem, and it even remembered my
old BOINC/Data path was on the F: drive, not C:
And away we crunch! biggrin

Re: "The survivors"

I'm picking up HCC 6.44 GPU BETA (cuda_OpenCL).
How cool, they just climb right up the list if you sort by Progress.

Re: "The survivors"

The HCC GPU BETAs (Open_CL) were available from 7:44 PM until about 11:14 PM EDT on 4/16/2012.

Ended up with about 84 HCC GPU work units on only one PC.
NVIDIA GTX 480 (not OC) and i7 2700K (4.3 OC)
GPU card runs at 42C idle and with work it runs 82C which is well below the 105C limit.
Wattage increased from approximately 200W idle to 350W while the GPU was running BETAs.

71 Valid
2 Pending Validation
11 Errors
The errors were caused by the BOINC screensaver, I did not know it was on as this PC monitor is normally off.

The BETAs averaged about 170 seconds each to complete.
Do not see any indications in the stats for BETA that there was activity.

Other PCs with ATI cards did not receive any BETAs.

Did anyone else get HCC GPU BETAs?
If so, how did your graphics card do?

Re: "The survivors"

If you have not tried WCG Device and Workunit Stats do yourself a favor, go over there and check it out.
Your ProjectsList.txt file should look like this.

>Unknown>UNK

100>Discovering Dengue Drugs - Together>DDDT1
102>Help Conquer Cancer>HCC
104>The Clean Energy Project>CEP1
105>Help Fight Childhood Cancer>HFCC
107>Influenza Antiviral Drug Search>FLU
108>Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy - Phase 2>HCMD2
109>Discovering Dengue Drugs - Together - Phase 2>DDDT2
11>FightAIDS@Home>FAAH
110>The Clean Energy Project - Phase 2>CEP2
111>Computing for Clean Water>C4CW
112>Drug Search for Leishmaniasis>DSFL
113>Say No to Schistosoma>SN2S
114>GO Fight Against Malaria>GFAM
115>Computing for Sustainable Water>CFSW
12>Human Proteome Folding - Phase 2>HPF2

(You may have to append CFSW to "115>Computing for Sustainable Water>" to make it work with Computing For Sustainable Water)

This program is dynamite!
Written by a WCG member that is a programmer.
You can get project/status/device name sums and averages by clicking your mouse.
Beats cut and paste into Excel.
Speaking of Excel, this program will export to CSV.
If you use Excel (and who does not?) you will like this program.

Re: "The survivors"

nasher,
Hope everything is okay.
What upgrade do you have planned?

I have a Dell P4 2.4 that needs updating but that can wait for now.
In the meantime it still produces a day of run time every day.
Not much for points or results but the other CPUs (real and imaginary) take care of that.
