I did bring my laptop, rcc, but had very little time for being online.
The trip was educating, interesting and entertaining. Lots of nice people manned the bus, and the woman I shared room with spoke the same language as Upstairs Yvonne, and we got along very well, indeed. The European Parliament was much worser than my worsest imagination. That's a lot. Strasbourg was a pretty city with an impressive cathedral and old halftimbered houses. We went on a boat trip on the canals and passed two locks which I had no idea were there. We visited a vineyard and the samples were tasty enough for me to dig out the mole (wallet - it's scared of daylight). In Mainz we stayed at a Hilton Hotel right on the bank of the Rhine - oh, we were pampered ![]() - and now I'm back with a cold - not from Hell or Mallorca - just a cold and making noise ![]() Where are you going come July, rcc? |

Touring certainly does keep one busy.
----------------------------------------There is talk of the Outer Banks, NC, Washington DC, and some other local spots in PA and NY. I have already been there but my wife has not. Have already been to Lancaster, PA to see the Amish and try their Shoo Fly Pie. Also went to Hershey Park in PA, visited the chocolate factory, and bought lots of chocolate. Went to Philadelphia, PA and saw the crack in the Liberty Bell. Niagara Falls, NY/Canada and wondered why anyone would ride a barrel over the falls. The Poconos, a driving nightmare on race days. Corning Glass factory and museum in Corning, NY. Watkins Glen, NY and the finger lakes. Too many places to name. ![]() ![]() Please join the team The survivors ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by RCC_Survivor at Apr 21, 2012 2:32:52 AM] |

----------------------------------------it's been decidedly tooooo technical here lately. and, no, we haven't been to disney world yet. (i'll bet rcc is secretly going there in july, and threw in the NC, DC, PA stuff to throw us off the trail.) ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by grumpygrampy at Apr 21, 2012 12:19:20 PM] |

I got some CFSW work units, but none recently. Looks like there's some type of problem with the feed right now, so I got a mixed bag of almost everything, since I have "send me work from other projects" checked. I had CFSW and CEP2 checked, but don't want more than 4 CEP2 wu's at a time, hence the mixed bag. I guess I'm going to have to pick something else to run for a while from my ruby badges.

grumpygrampy,
----------------------------------------If I lived in Orlando I wouldn't go to Disney World. Don't like standing in lines in the hot sun. Might go on a rainy day. gretchch, These CFSW stats came from using WCGDAWS: Got 161 WUs. Valid 121 WUs total Run time 449.08 hours (it takes 336 hours to get Bronze) PV 36 WUs total Run time 133.24 hours Errors 4 ![]() ![]() Please join the team The survivors ![]() |

On the day that CFSW went online I pointed everything I had at it (25 CPUs).
----------------------------------------Wanted to get a bronze. As soon as I had enough in the pipeline to get my 336 hours I went back to working on other badges. DDDT2 is also on hold; when it was active I was getting a lot of errors. I asked why they didn't send some WUs out as Betas until the errors were fixed. I was told that they did not want to halt a production run because of a few errors. Well, now it is halted, which I assume is due to the errors. IMHO they did not do enough Beta testing before it went active. Also learned that one CA is not as smart as he thinks he is. ![]() ![]() Please join the team The survivors ![]() |

There are 7 teams we can overtake in the next 3.06-7.25 days.

The teams are not sorted by rank they are in the order of opportunity to overtake.
----------------------------------------The last number is the most important. Based on the stats at the time I posted them it would take 7.25 days to overtake Sweden@Boinc@Home. http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=team&proj=bwcg&team=9611 We are ranked 345 and at the current trend we will overtake other teams as projected. However, if our points drop we will not overtake them. Points at WCG are 7 times the BOINC points so if the WCG or SNURK points for a member do not match stats.free-dc (they use BOINC) that is why. ![]() ![]() Please join the team The survivors ![]() |
