You will find that running a higher number of CPUs will knock out badges much quicker.

The scheduled outage will take the web site, forum, and servers down for 12 hours.
----------------------------------------Make sure you have enough work units in the queue to keep crunching. My PCs are set for 1 day of WUs. Set yours to whatever you feel is reasonable but do not set it to more than 3 days because BOINC Manager can't schedule work properly beyond that time. One time I set mine to 10 days for a team challenge and it was a nightmare. BOINC was working on WUs due next week not work due today or tomorrow. A lot of work missed their deadlines.
