Re: Looking for survivors to join Team "The survivors"

The truth is that they don't have answers for everything.
There are over 200 different kinds of cells in the human body.
There are that many cancers, each responds differently to treatments.
Some do not respond to any treatment.
Early detection is the difference between life and death.
I lost my mother to breast cancer; it is a slow and painful death.
Difficult to watch.
I had cancer in both kidneys at the same time.
I was lucky to find a doctor that had an interest in organ conservation.
I had a portion of each kidney removed, no dialysis, no radiation, no chemo.
Never had so much pain.
The surgery has left me with problems that I continue to deal with.
In 15 years the cancer did no return.
Lucky for me, because if it returns the first year it is fatal.
So I don't believe it is all a scam, but there are unscrupulous people that prey on cancer patients.
I reported a doctor in Stockbridge, GA for using some crap he imported from Russia, which was banned from import.
They finally caught up with him but not before he treated terminal patients with weed killer.
I found out about him by reading about a terminal teenager in South Carolina that posted her story on the Internet.
This scumbag doctor took payment up front, $25,000.
The treatments were as useless as hyperbaric chambers.
All of his patients were terminal and went to him because he promised them the impossible.
It is difficult to accept that all treatments have been exhausted and the cancer is not responding.
I have tremendous sympathy for the family and friends of those patients because cancer has more than one victim.

Tonight after the stats update The survivors will pass 500 years of total run time.
While we don't have the 40 members we once did we all contributed to that total.
I think this is a great accomplishment for a small team.
If nobody else does, I thank you for contributing.

I'm back.

My computer wouldn't start. So between my health and our financial resources, it took a while to get it going again.

debsgr8,

That's why I have 3 desktops, a laptop, and 6 Android devices.
Going without a computer would cause severe withdrawal, something I cannot envision.
What would a person do without 9 backups?

debsgr8,

What's happening?

Just finished a month full of doctor's visits, x-rays, ct-scan, and mri.
Glad that is over.

One good thing about retirement is that it gives you more time to do less.

Re: Looking for survivors to join Team "The survivors"

I'm having a problem with a couple of the Androids.
Four don't have the problem.
The work server is loading about 44 tasks, which the processors can't complete before the deadline.
I set the extra days of work to 0.0 but no help.
Have been aborting the tasks that can't possibly make the deadline.
I was hoping the server would figure out there is a scheduling problem.

The Abort button works.
I removed about half of the tasks, the ones with no chance of making the deadline.
Did it again.
I think the server is catching on.
