I'm glad.
Facebook has an axe to grind with me, I'm afraid. I have not been able to make documents in my newly established "Base Camp on WCG" group on Facebook, nor on another group I'm in. Guitar Man (thank you, GM!) even called me all the way from England to assist, but right now I'm too tired to proceed with restablishing the thing (if it will work) .... tomorrow is a new day. |

We are tied with China Hamburg Komplott for 5th place in the HFCC challenge!

----------------------------------------I ask because that is how The survivors is built on FB. Per FB rules a company, business, group, etc... must be a page, only a person can have an account. Social networking is very time consuming and frustrating so do not expect it to be a snap. You are a prolific poster so you may not have much trouble with these issues. I read on the WCGrid web site that they are working on software to take advantage of high end GPU cards processing power.

I created "A Group" and I do have a FB account We are 5 members now, and all of them help me a lot My intention is to inform of WCG, put up docs about it explaining the idea, and for instance "The Lance Armstrong Foundation" e-mail as a sample e-mail Trying to get new crunchers this way Telling about the Base Camp experience - guest crunching, badges, The Rosie etc. - hard to explain stuff that even many seasoned crunchers not really fully get  I don't fear the work and time involved but the axe Facebook seems to have to grind with me  - so much doesn't seem to work so I do the same thing over and over. Guitar Man, our New Base Camper, compassionately called me on the phone to help out, but we don't know if it has corrected itself lastingly yet. I cannot do docs on another group I'm in either - and in a third group we can add only a fraction of the people wanting to join Well, I'm beginning to take this personal. Bad Karma?  I must come across as provoking both there and here in spite of being quite cute  |

There will be some GPU Beta testing for the cancer project coming soon so watch for it. Beta testing work units are not only rare to appear but often scarce when they are released. Of the 8595 results I have returned only 17 have been Betas     |

----------------------------------------Much of the difficulty comes from them trying to keep up with Google+. Myself, I find FB used primarily as a chat group, I am not impressed with it when used for business. Because an organization must be built as a page it has limited capabilities. sunfolk, the new software is written to make use of ATI and NVidia graphics processors. I checked in the messages tab of BOINC Manager to see what I have for GPUs on this quad core: 10/12/2011 7:33:13 PM ATI GPU 0: ATI Radeon HD 4600 series (R730) (CAL version 1.4.1385, 1024MB, 384 GFLOPS peak) 10/12/2011 7:33:13 PM ATI GPU 1: ATI Radeon HD 2300/2400/3200 (RV610) (CAL version 1.4.1385, 256MB, 48 GFLOPS peak) On another quad core I have an ATI GPU 0: with about 40 GFLOPS On the single core it does not have a useable GPU.
