Re: TEAM Vulture Central III

Well, two weeks and I get to order my next system upgrade. Going to max out this Motherboard I have at 3.4ghz. Hmm that's going to leave me with an extra CPU... Guess I'l have to get some inexpensive parts and build a dedicated cruncher with it. hehe devilish That ought to get the wife ticked off.. devilish I can hear it now... "You got that stuff to do WHAT?????" "I could have gone to Red Lobster with that money" HAHAHAHAHAHAH laughing devilish

***MY*** wife bought an AMD64 3400+ cruncher with her money. Here's what it did so far today:
08/19/2005 0:000:11:34:42 460 4 results....only 115 points for each one, so it's putting them out fairly quickly now.

Around here we call that place "Dead Lobster". EMS usually stops by there once or twice per week.

Re: TEAM Vulture Central III

Hahah.. Don't have that problem with our lobster shack here. My wife doesn't know it yey but her system is going to get this 2.8ghz 800fsb to replace the 2.4ghz 533fsb thats in it now. Kids system get that chip instead of 2.4ghz 400fsb. Not much of a change for that last one. 110 bucks and I can get parts to support the slow chip for a dedicated cruncher. (maybe load it up with Linux That will save me the $$ for a HD I already have a drive I'm using just for linux) MB and case are dirt cheap, Memory and HD are a bit more. :)
I'll get a switch to share Monitor keyboard and mouse with another system. biggrin

Excuse my ingnorence - I thought linux was a unix baby - so why can't you access the unit remotely through the network from another pc?
