Re: Minnesota Crunchers

St. Paul has the reputation for being large "small town" whereas Minneapolis has the reputation of being a small "big city." Enjoy your stay.

Cheers

I will enjoy the stay, Sgt.Joe ... was referring to the political. wink Happening now.

Large "DUH' moment for me. I saw this morning all the political hoopla which played out in St. Paul. Suddenly I knew to what you were referring. Pretty ironic that the place where all this was taking place last night will be the scene of the Republican National Convention. The news reports I saw this morning estimated at 15,000 people did not get in,but watched from outside. Pretty amazing.

Cheers

Yes, the convention will bring a bring boom to St. Paul's tourist related industries ... a market that is seriously depressed our current econimic conditions. I saw an article that San Francisco is predicting a 15% decline in tourism this summer. That's a large number as it is one of the premiere tourist destinations in the US.

I've been watching Minnesota's Karen Nyberg on the International Space Station. For someone from a cold climate, she sure can wear a pair of shorts. laughing biggrin ... most impressive resume too.

Crunch on!

I'll bet she is so smart it's scary. And they say the smaller schools hold people back. Vining, Mn. (Ottertail County) is about 100 miles (160km)as the crow flies from where I am at. Typical small Minnesota town. I drove through it once probably about 20 years ago.

Vining's claim to fame used to just be Ken Nyberg, but now he has competition. He is quite a talented guy.
