Evening Ted, Ivan and all.  Forcast is rain and wet snow here.  No snow down here, just freezing cold and then rain is forecast. Staying in doors seems like a good plan. I the journey to work is not long enough for the car to warm up properly in the mornings. I go to work by bicycle and I haven't even switched to wintercoat yet.   Gloves are recommended though. |

Good morning everyone, Deep snow this morning, roads are going to be very bad, especially around the villages, not to mention the hamlet that I live in! Hope father Christmas can get through!

Evening all I does seem sometimes that it's just you and me around Ted. And with some of our big hitters going and one or two regular posters who are not crunching at all, I see the team is sliding back down the ratings. Best wishes to those still under the weather, my thoughts are with you. We may not be the hardest hitting team, we may not be the biggest team, but we must have something they all envy...Many of us have been around for almost eight years..and many of us have actually met up! More like a family, than a team!And no-one can beat that! Keep it up all of you...Were are not one of the biggest, but one of the best! Good morning everyone.
----------------------------------------I too check in every morning although I don't always post. It's like the story of the tortoise and the hare, we may not be the biggest or fastest but those who stick with us will be rewarded in the end. I've seen more than once when someone would blow by me on my personal stats page and then they lose most or all of there computers (job change or what not) and then here I come, steadily crunching and pass them. The comradship and togetherness that sets us apart. I know my chances of ever meeting a fellow cruncher is nil, but I know where I'm always welcome. Long live The Edwardians!

AC, hello, nice to meet cha!
When we get around to the East Coast of the USA, maybe WE will meet? I've decided to ask for help:How can I put flags on the bottom (sig line) and perhaps even my stats? I'll want to add flags of the countries as we visit. Feel free to baby-talk directions to me, I will not take offense! I don't have a clue and I don't have time to research, for that I apologize. Also, I've run the same WU for 2 days and it stayed at the same EXact percentage. I finally got disgusted and suspended it, and began a new one which seems to be running normally. Is this something that when I notice it I should just put it out of its misery right away? Thanks! and big fat squeeeezy hugs to Sigal, Evy, Merle, JP, GM and all the rest of you who have accepted my presence without protest...I wish you all warm fuzzy winters!  Bobi  |
