New Beta badges awarded

This has been a pretty large Beta for CEP. Hopefully lots of people got lucky with lots of WU, then a few repair WU. Remember to leave them crunching, which got me my badge today.

Give yourself a 'Shout Out' if you earned a badge this round.

Re: New Beta badges awarded

Congratulations, astrolab, and all the other crunchers who achieved a Bronze or an upgrade. Well done!

I didn't make the grade this time around, but unless there has been a change of plan, we still have the Types B and C work to come, so I might yet get over the line.
I wonder when these B and C WUs will arrive.
I just hope that with the expanded pool of badges out there, the dynamics of supply and demand don't push down their market value too far. We wouldn't want to see a situation where they'd be so worthless that we'd have to pay to have them trucked away. wink

Re: New Beta badges awarded

Picked mine up over the weekend. FINALLY!
I had one beta that went over 24 hours. Without that one I would still be missing mine.
I think I'll be stuck on bronze for quite a while. Although I hate the color. Silver (and of course gold) looks so much better as backgrounds.

and nobody, me, sees them on the forum because you crunch as Astrolab and post as astrolab.

And now that you've posted one time as Astrolab, the forum db made the connection and shows the badges under astrolab as well. Don't ask me, but the 2 parts, My Grid and Forum have been hacked together in mysterious ways. You can resume posting as the one with highest post count, if you choose to.

I had a little holiday there for a few minutes. Glad to see that the system reconnected me as I was playing with a name change, as you noticed. Not going to try that again.

Re: New Beta badges awarded

I understand the numbers required for the badges. But with the scarcity of Beta work, can the minimums be lowered? If I understand correctly, an exception has already been made for another project. Can something similar be done for Beta?

The whole point is that the Beta badges are difficult to earn and are meant to be.

Re: New Beta badges awarded

I think I will never get a Beta-Badge. With a total runtime of 4 years, 158 days on windoze and linux computers I have catched only 5 days of Beta-testing. Yes yes, beta testing is enabled in my profiles. I have no clue why I always miss the beta phases....

Congratulations to the new batch owners!
