I asked them for a 60 mil cpu fan, as the one in the machine had a fin missing due to me attempting to clean the fan blades

Graham, next time turn off the fan, before you clean it laughing

Your friend from oversea...

Sorry to hear you are having a rough time - I guess it follows the motto " and if you really want to mess things up, computerise them!"
I am sure you will be burning rubber now with your new kit biggrin biggrin

Re: smile smile smile Join MyOnlineTeam Today! smile smile smile

Well, my big one completed while I was at work last night and I think it is my biggest wu so far - about 110 hours for 1596 points. Now I'm thinking of putting a stick of RAM into my favorite machine and tossing it onto the grid as well. But then I'd run into the same problem as I did when I put the Pavilion to work for the wcg: not wanting to use it because it would take processing time away from the project. I dunno, I’ve been threatening to learn enough to build a small computer farm. If I could just find one of those “learn while you sleep” programs...

Graham - I know exactly how you feel. A local computer supply/repair store that I used to frequent had an extra wide counter at the service area. At first I thought it was because it served as a work bench from the store side - but after a few experiences I became convinced that it was to keep the service techs out of reach and thus preventing them from being dragged across it by the lapels on a regular basis.
