Re: Viktors updates

Highlights from our call today with the MCM researchers:

1. Sarcoma work units are in the works. We expect to have a batch from the researchers for beta testing in mid-February. We'll continue to run ovarian cancer work units in the meantime.
2. They're continuing to look for a new post-doc team member and a PhD student.
3. They'll soon be starting on their next project update, which will be available around the time that we fully switch to sarcoma work units.

Re: Viktors updates

We just completed our monthly call with the researchers.

They're still working on creating sarcoma units. They had originally planned to have some ready by this month, but they're not done yet. Hopefully we'll have more info by the March call.

Re: Viktors updates

Great news to hear. I'm always happy to be able to crunch toward any cancer projects.

Re: Viktors updates

Updates from our monthly call with the research team:

1. They're closer to having sarcoma units ready. There will be a quick round of alpha and beta testing before they're released. There won't be a large number of beta work units, but we'll let everyone know as we usually do when we're ready to start the beta testing.
2. They're working on wrapping up their lung cancer marker analysis.
3. We discussed a couple of news stories that appeared in the Canadian press about a school in Winnipeg that is supporting the project: https://www.winnipegsd.ca/about%20wsd/news/pa...r-to-cancer-research.aspx

As always, thanks for the update - it's good to hear what's happening behind the scenes.

I love the story about the high school and student who are crunching on the Grid! Kudos to Dylan, his dad (a SETI. veteran) and the school's Networking and Cybersecurity teacher, Robert Esposito. Crunch on! biggrin
