Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Larger cities like yours fetch big prices for homes too. I personally don't like big cities, I guess it's growing up in the country, I like my space.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Good Morning Base Campers!
Shop talk
I feel I should do something before you lose interest.
Let’s take a vote:
1. top40.nl II
2. The International Team (even though flodisar has not sorted his papers out yet
– which on the other hand will give him a unique chance of being a Base Camper as an existing member of the host team
3. Rest&Relaxation – and if so: For how long?

flodisar
flodisar, so nice to see you here. You have it hotter in Sweden than we do in Denmark – by one degree C.
So, yes, an apartment can be a trial if you have the sun glaring in and
cannot open your windows to both sides to let the air flow freely.

Are the house prices higher in your city than in general?
This is a typical one family house in my city (80,000 people – 50,000 in rural areas) -
Asking price:
1,8 mio DKK
2,4 mio SEK
290,000 USD
It seems reasonable to me; we are even within pendling distance of Copenhagen.
Train 1 hour – car 1-3 hours depending on the traffic flow …

The Sony Hospital in Sweden (much Sweden these days)
Saphir12-Nathalie was shipped off. For the third time in her short life.
I want a new battery. But above all: I want that back cover fixed.
The back cover is only held in place by a few strings of glue. The salesman couldn’t get his eyes off it …
I lost my SMSs … The other two times she was hospitalized they all of a sudden came back.
Otherwise I had D set up with all the apps I need and I had my contacts on my SD-card.
It's like planning Operation Market Garden
Well, I’ll see how it goes with D. Will he be my primary phone – or will it be Saphir12-Nathalie?
I better phone the one who always complains about sound quality …
I bought a tablet. It will not start ... sad

June 5
Flodisar, I’m impressed! How come you remember June 5th?
I didn’t have the faintest idea about your June 6th
– and now I read that you celebrate the end of the Kalmar Union ….
As opposed to you, we don’t have the day off in the principle. It’s a normal day of work, but trade union contract can stipulate the entire day off or half a workday so you go home at noon.
The politicians will make speeches the size and shape of The Hindenburg blimp

WCG update
In 15 minutes WCG will begin an update estimated to last four hours.
♥ See you later ♥ Au Revoir ♥ Auf Wiedersehen ♥
EDIT: Market Garden link corrected. Twice blushing
Added: Seems the WCG update didn't affect the Forum - my withdrawals were in vain raised eyebrow
My tablet was started by my Bosnian neighbor who applied the needed amount of pressure.
It's now connected to the Internet - and to WCG where it begs for work ... that's the part that is update affected blushing

Yes, I dislike larger cities too but when you want to go to university and have close access to work, hospital, parents, groceries and such the city is almost a must unfortunately.

I'm looking for a house < 10km from work if possible, but it seems impossible at the moment.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Sorry for me being so slow little mermaid. It sounds like a lot of fun and your offer to help my team and all sounds wonderful and I am very grateful already :)

It's just especially these pre-vacation times that involve a lot of work - all customers MUST have everything delivered before summer vacation.
I usually have quite a high work-load as it is and it gets exponentially worse as you enter summer territory. Many have tried, few have returned.

So I'm currently in somewhat of a negative spiral where I work a lot, at the same time that makes it hard to get 8 hours of sleep and the heat doesn't help. I can't stand heat when I want to sleep.

At the same time caring for parents and trying to keep my head above the surface.

But, I will try to get the first step done with by applying for the captain position of my team.

I understand it is hot in Denmark too, I hope the weather will be fine on June 5th :) I don't know exactly why I know of June 5th, but I believe I read it somewhere some time ago and then it just came back to me as I was writing that post.

June 6th wasn't a holiday here either up until 10 years or so ago maybe. They switched out 2nd day of Pentecost (always on a Monday) to June 6th (which is not always a weekday) - because they lobbyists wanted to squeeze more workdays out on average in a year. :/

As I understand, you are having some problems with your phone? I hope you get the problems fixed. My phone has started to act up too so I might have to look for a new one soon.

Have a good night from Sweden now everyone!

Thought I could write post from my armchair legs - sorry tail - up and use it for e-books.

Got a keyboard thing, too.

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

I'd say 2, Base Camp hasn't been there since an earlier incarnation.

EDIT: After looking at the team, Base Camp has never been there as far as i can tell. Don't know how we missed them back in the day? shock

Re: Base Camp.......The team that isn't

Thank you very much for your votes, Base Campers
The result from the count and recount is:
We'll do top40.nl II as soon as I have the energy which I hope will be very soon.
Then we'll do The International Team - flodisar is too busy just now to get his captain thing done

- which means there will be a The International Team II when he has his hat

@flodisar: Don't be grateful.
It's us who need to be grateful. We have a hard time finding host teams these days - even put up advertisements blushing
No hurry, no stress, you have much to see to.
What is your profession if I may ask, please?
And your parents: Are you a caregiver?
Yes, I understand that changing the holiday into a fixed date was ill taken by those who like a day off biggrin
Yes, my Sony phone named Saphir12-Nathalie after la Kraland capitaine
seems to spend more time in Sweden than in my back pocket .. raised eyebrow

Do you think our phones are too weak for crunching, flodisar? worried

Do I interpret you correctly, BladeD:
It's bad enough as it is; we don't need twice as many laughing
