Little Mermai,
Somehow (I will not give the details), we saved each other's lives ... So even if it's expensive, I would pay for everything, so that it goes well. And if I go to Quebec next year (a kid's dream), of course he will come with me! And there's only one thing that could make him not get his return ticket: That I found it so great, that we stay together. As for the essential oil of lavender, no, it does not make it fat (well, just for 30 min in the ladle). Just a quarter cup of cooking oil, and three drops of essential in it, to make a friction. It should be diluted and do it once a week, otherwise it could burn the skin. And he is protected against fleas. And yes, he feels good. There is even something I did not think about. We often go to the river, that to swim, it is even better than running, to let off steam. When he comes out of the water, he does not smell the wet dog, but the lavender! And if we give him a hug at that moment, the smell comes on our hands. Regarding the meetings you do with Tessa, it's normal. Even if I admit to having been surprised with Louloup, at the beginning. People I had met for more than ten years, without saying a word, began to say hello, to see to stop talking. There is also the opposite effect, with people who are afraid of it. But in a general way, it encourages people to talk. The 'worst' being, if I go shopping on Wednesday afternoon, and I attach it to the store's photo booth: There it is obliged, there are children who will make him cuddle, and tell me "He is too beautiful". (In France, there is no school on Wednesday afternoon) ![]() acpartsman, Bon courage ! ---------- Good luck ! If I understand, you have an old house, I hope for you it is not stone. I helped a friend once, to do the electrical installation in an old stone house. We had to start with drilling and bleeding, with a jackhammer. In other words, laying the cables was the easiest. ![]() tanner2, Bon retour ! ---------- Welcome back ! But, I have a quick question: Do you think the buffalo could be for Louloup? Because I do not think he has enough toys. He has only the toy (his first and favorite), the ball, the balloon, the knot, the freesbee and another that has no name. Maybe he would also have fun with a soft toy (even if I do not prefer to predict his life expectancy)? ![]() |

Thank you for your post, stefada
![]() So the lavender removes the ’wet dog’ smell! So far it has been sunny, but at some point, we’ll have rain again. Will Tessa smell of 'wet dog'? Good Morning Base Campers! Shop talk Well, tanner2 just returned from a road trip, so he will want to relax. Let’s join him for a bit. Relaxing, I mean. Tessa She’s funny. Sometimes she imagines it will be dangerous to walk this way or that and brakes with all she’s got. ![]() The first time I obeyed her and turned around; the second one as well. The third time I took that route counterclockwise, and all was good! Go figure. ![]() MobilePay I shop for Downstairs Grethe, and yesterday we installed MobilePay on her phone, - which she’s under strict orders to carry with her at all times It was not easy. She had to get a Google account to get access to Google Play, and she was inundated with confirmation-this and confirmation-that … I almost thought Google had turned EU – or did Google just try to comply with the EU folly? She has been into accounting all of her work life, and we had a stack of six receipts which we could have added up – but no-no, doing one at a time six times gives a lot of practice. And her swiping the money off, her phone giving off a sound and mine lying next to it giving off a different sound almost instantly really tickled us! Zelo-sok They started me on a 100 mg betablocker; the heart nurse since halved the dose; it helped my breathing almost instantly. But I lack more energy than I think should – even with the aggravated fibromyalgia, health people much to my pleasant surprise no longer roll their eyes of. Yesterday I had to spend much of the time in bed. I’m so tired I cannot think straight or find out how to sleep - and just brushing my teeth is a real effort. ![]() My backlog grows and grows, and I have taken on new responsibilities. I was no longer able to cope. So I halved the halved dose, remembering the credo: ’You can survive – or you can live’ And again it seemed as if the effect was almost instant. In the evening I was able to do the weekly cleaning - which had become an unsatisfactory biweekly or even once every three weeks one ![]() Maybe a good clean life is within reach … Maybe thinking, too … Maybe even traveling … Fan A while ago you cautioned me to get a cooling pad for my laptop, acpartsman. I brushed that aside – clever, clever – but, frankly, for us Danes it’s hot these days, so I remembered my very simple fan in the basement and fetched it to cool my still swollen legs and hot feet. Why not try to let the air stream across my laptop? Vupti! [pronounced: 'voopti'] In a matter of minutes it was cool as a cucumber Will that be an ok thing to do in your experience, acpartsman - if you have such low tech experience, that is? |

Little Mermaid !
--------- I can not tell you if Tessa feels the wet dog. But I can explain why she followed the third time. The dogs have kept the wolf, run in packs. As humans began to domesticate them about 400,000 years ago, the concept of a pack for a dog is extended to humans and even other species. For example, my parents had a German shepherd who was protecting cats from the house. No other cat could have entered the garden. But for him, those of the parents were part of the pack. This base put, one can ask: How is the hierarchy in the pack? The chef will be the strongest and / or the one who brings to eat. And so on, with the weakest all the way down. In nature, they will eat in order. First the chief, then his lieutenants, etc. That's why if we want to do well, we must he always eat last, especially if we have children. Instinctively, he will understand that children are higher than him in the pack hierarchy. The first few times, you listened to Tessa, so she thought you were equal. The third time, you showed authority, and there she understood that she must follow you, that you are higher than she in the pack. I had trouble with that when I adopted Louloup. As he was traumatized, I tended to be 'too nice'. So he only listened to me when he wanted, as if we were equal. A friend who was an Army Dog Master told me that I needed to be more authoritarian, for his own good. I followed his advice, some people then told me that I was too strict. But the result is there, now he is listening well (not always, but almost). And I have seen, that he is very proud when he is doing well, and loves that I ask him many things. Each of his toys has a name, and when we play together, he has to go get the one I'm asking for, and not another. Despite the excitement of the game, he tries to do well, to please me. That it's his pleasure to please me. --------- As for your health: Good luck! And keep in mind that the will is a very important parameter in the face of the disease. Surely as important as medical treatment. ![]() |

stefada, you're absolutely right - and your friend the Army Dog Master
- about having to make yourself the dominating male/female. As for Tessa, I have invented a special stepdance that makes her curious enough to follow when she has refuse. I think I told you at some point that in Greenland the human must make himself the super-alfa-male who's in control of the dog-alfa-male. It can be very dangerous if a pack of Greenland sledge dogs attack ... each year lives are lost - often children. As to my health and medicine: Yes, I always apply the placebo effect until the medicine may show adverse side effects or no side effects. I think you owe the poor scientists that ![]() After all Mr Placebo has obtained fine results ![]() ![]() |

Hi Base Campers! I have read a few posts here and there in your thread, trying to figure out the trek idea - it's a really neat concept! I'm hoping to give continuation to The International Team after Jean-Pierre. First and foremost I need to find some breathing room from a lot of stuff so that I can actually become more active on the forums here. Just wanted to say hi in the meantime! :3 Always good to hear from old friends. I definitely understand being busy and having too many irons in fire. As if I didn't have enough to do I bought a house that has to be totally rewired and re-plumbed. Hello acpartsman, little-meramid and everyone else for the nice greetings here! That's quite a project you have there acpartsman, I wish you best of luck with it! I am not very good with construction/houses and still I'd like to buy a house soon. Been looking around the last couple of years but the prices here are too high. I'd have to give around US$400 000 equivalent for a decent house in this town with about 170000 inhabitants. Right now the weather here is too hot and my two-room apartment gets very hot too. 30.3 degrees C (86.5 F) inside when I got home today. Have a nice 5th of June little-mermaid! If I am not mistaken, it is a holiday in Denmark? Be well everyone! /Flodisar ![]() Join The International Team: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewTeamInfo.do?teamId=CK9RP1BKX1 AMD TR2990WX @ PBO, 64GB Quad 3200MHz 14-17-17-17-1T, RX6900XT @ Stock AMD 3800X @ PBO AMD 2700X @ 4GHz |
