Little Mermaid,
---------- I understand your arguments very well! Among my relatives, there are some who tell me that I would never have to adopt Louloup, that it is too much of constraints. And, one must be realistic, they exist these constraints. It must be taken out several hours a day, whatever the weather, I live in a small apartment. I can not keep it, so I absolutely have to take care of it. For a small budget like mine, it's a lot of expense (food, vet, essential oil of lavender - very good repellent against fleas - etc.). And you in addition, you have your health problems, and you would like to travel again. (I think, however, more and more to go to visit Quebec, that they have very cool laws to come with his dog.It is enough that he is vaccinated against rabies - obligatory to have his passport, in France - and not in all the tales) My decision to adopt it was totally irrational, I know it very well. It is the emotion that spoke, that I like dogs too much, to accept that it is stung, that nobody wanted it because of its traumas. I do not regret at all, but the logic would have wanted that I do not do it. ---------- It's a good thing that you can talk with a priest. Not for the religious side, but for listening ability, hindsight, and confidentiality. I have a friend who is Sister, and who is over 70 years old. In general we discuss the 'things of life', and the few times it is religion, it is mainly to share our knowledge about Islam and Krishnaism. I love talking to this woman, even though I think I never told her about my problems. I can not explain it, but she has a gift to relax, even talking about something else. Finally, yes, you 'have us all'. In my eyes, you are in a way the mascot of the WCG forum. ![]() |

Hi Base Campers! I have read a few posts here and there in your thread, trying to figure out the trek idea - it's a really neat concept! I'm hoping to give continuation to The International Team after Jean-Pierre. First and foremost I need to find some breathing room from a lot of stuff so that I can actually become more active on the forums here. Just wanted to say hi in the meantime! :3 Always good to hear from old friends. I definitely understand being busy and having too many irons in fire. As if I didn't have enough to do I bought a house that has to be totally rewired and re-plumbed.

>>> As if I didn't have enough to do You do your best to make it sound as if you live such a tough life, Fossaw Oh, and what do you intend to do this afternoon, when you've finished that? ;) As for me: It was a close call, but I survived … Good Morning Base Campers! Shop talk Not much. I moved myself (sorry, sujo1) Perhaps flodisar will make his move sooner than expected. I have done far more Sweden than I remembered yesterday. In addition to my childhood’s ferry trips we Danes found necessary to make to Sweden to buy almonds, we were on two day trips – one of them to Lund with it’s marvellous old cathedral ![]() and the university from 1666 – the second oldest in Sweden - another time to look at housing - everybody moved to Sweden at some point. Oh, and I had a boyfriend for a short while who rented a cute falured house – they call it falured (Danes call it Swedish red) because the color comes from the town of Falu and it is tinted by iron – with white trim. Like this ![]() – I threw my own pictures out. I remember posting some in my second inning, and TLD asking: ’Whose dog is that?’ The rest of this is more or less Gone to the Dogs I think Louloup must be the best thing that has happened to you, stefada, and you the best thing that has happened to Louloup. There are expenses if you want to be a good caretaker - but it seems you are willing to not only feed him, take him to the vet, buy him toys and beds, and lavender essence oil - but buying him an airline ticket for Quebec as well. Return trip, I presume. He must smell really good with the lavender essence oil - doesn't that make his fur greasy? I like to walk Tessa, too. I get to talk to new people. I said hello to Arthur - a West Highland White Terrier last night (and his 'mother'). This morning the one with the Greenland dog and I had to shout to each other because Tessa wanted a certain distance to that one. The black flat coated Labrador's name was 'Chase' his 'mother' confided wringing one ankle around the other. He was named before she got him - hunting, you know .... and the man with the funny sausage shaped one who always throws a blue ball to that dog, said hello to me for the first time ever since I moved here. Tessa gives status! Adri, soon I'll have a bunch, well at least one speurneus (good way to avoid the plural ...) I'm not sure I want to talk to the priest, stefada, but I like to have options should I get too close to the black pit again … where Winston Churchill's Black Dogs live. Talking about religion: I joined the Atheists/Agnostics this morning because I felt bad earning my gold SCC badge just today ... long story. Halo Jones helped me so patiently with starting Mr Jones my old one kernel Sony phone on crunching, but I didn't want to join Halo Jones' boycott. We finished this record breaking May in Denmark ![]() EDIT: E&O [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 1, 2018 8:51:03 PM] |

>>> As if I didn't have enough to do Oh, and what do you intend to do this afternoon, when you've finished that? ;) ![]() I have a plan of attack but I may find execution to be more difficult. I'm no stranger to wiring but it's always been in new construction or in more accessible locations. Calling in an electrician is a last resort as they're just too expensive. As for the plumbing, I doubt I'll be doing much of that. I know how but new methods require tools I don't have, better to just get a friend in the trade to help. As for the exterior, anything I want to do has to be approved by the historical society which is no real problem for me as I want to restore it as close to original as possible. ![]()

Good Morning Base Campers!
This may very well be the extent of today's briefing ![]() Good luck with your project, acpartsman ![]() - I know you can do it ![]() Also, knowing your limits is part of 'can do' and a good result ![]() This reminds me of one of our favorite programs on TV during our RI years: 'This Old House' with Bob Vila - to me/us that was quality TV and quality time. ![]() If you get the time between your job, mowing lawns, your computers, your wife of not too many years, your Mom, your fat cat, your Harleys, your Mustang .... well, and Base Camp and SeriousCrunchers we wouldn't mind seeing a few pictures along the way. How about a 'before' now before you get to work on this hold house? ![]() |
