shock Re: A new dawn and better days!

Diana,

Remember back a few posts, where you a bit turned around? The reason you or I need to be here is to watch the waters our ships sail in. Here is one of the problems I faced:

Roger the Dodger:
BTW, I started switching over to FAAH and Folding just after the midnight update 23/24th and in 24hrs my runtime has gone up by 200hrs and points by about 20,000 - this should increase a bit as the last of the HCC jobs clear out of my queue.

It just shows how broken the code is on multi-cores.

Fortunately, I got to him before he split.

So Diana, this is the thing you need to remember:

"My ship, my crew, my mission, myself."

For if you don’t see this, you sell your team and yourself short. The reason why I know this is I’m a ships captain in real life as well. Not that I own a boat, that would be the simple way. I have maritime papers, meaning I can captain professionally. So when it comes to who knows what being a captain is really like, then it looks like I’m the only one here.

What the hell does this have to do with cancer research?
Thread has gone from querying cancer work to distributed computing being a sailing junket.

You have opened a thread about folk swapping around teams etc as a "workaround"-----insulting the captains of all the other teams hardly inspires co-operation.

Calm down and let the devs deal with the issue wink

Split from where?

http://boincstats.com/stats/user_graph.php?pr=wcg&id=353488

Whether one runs long slow jobs or short and fast, it has no effect on the reported run time. In fact, even 'invalid' jobs are counted in full towards run time.

Now, if there were jobs turning into 'error' we're talking a different problem. Most all cancer jobs are valid however slow or fast and if they fail, it should be reported properly.

Re: A new dawn and better days!

What I talk about has nothing to do with research in that post. It has to do with being a captain and being in this thread. I'm not here for my jollies, I'm here out of requirement of my rank. What gets me is how few notice this.

Do you see me "stopping" research by posting here? Am I tying up the resolution of this problem. What I am doing is requiring civic awareness to prevent further loss of personnel. Something that seems to beyond this place.

Viao, look at how many times I have been attacked it this thread. Then tell me who should shut up, and why.

Re: A new dawn and better days!

you know you remind me of several humourous officer efficency reports.

This young lady has delusions of adequacy.

This Officer reminds me very much of a gyroscope always spinning around at a frantic pace, but not really going anywhere.

She would be out of her depth in a car park puddle.

When she opens her mouth, it seems that this is only to change whichever foot was previously in there.

So choose which one is appropriate and take a prozac and find a new home.

If you're going to engage in personal attacks, maybe YOU should find a new home.

Never a CA around when you need one eh?

Re: A new dawn and better days!

I'm recommending a lock for this thread.

Everything that needs saying has been said (repeatedly).
