I'll let my queue run dry for Rice. In about a day I've got enough in Pending to reach a Rice total of 5 years.

In 3.5 days (real time), i've reach my goal of the 2 year mark, an then i will be pulling of rice.
In good time that i've bought my I7 920 D0 and keep my C2D e4500. |

Superb JGarcia, letting this project run in the multi-science profile on the duo, needing 13.5 more days to the blue level, firstly aiming to get HCMD2 to show a 6th green (30 days needed), if not HFCC a 7th, but still needing 107 days for that quest. That will run in earnest after the A types have relinquished their grip on the quad.
----------------------------------------RICE still getting it's standard ~16% share, and no 30 day pre-announcement to advise the end of new work circulation (DDDT2 cruncher distractions maybe :)

How about moving to DDDT2? I don't know the length of these WUs and I got cut off early (for me) after reaching Ruby+ so I don't want to wait too long before starting the DDDT2 set of tasks. I have to stay with NRW so I can attempt to reach 2 years before it's too late.

I might be out of the running... seem to be having issues crunching rice all of a sudden.... I wish I saved my logs before resetting WCG as the logs indicated I should reset do to repeated restarts with no progress.

No system changes/updates etc.... no errors in logs... yet... will post them when i have them... Anyone else having trouble out of the blue? Anyone else having trouble out of the blue? Not out of the blue, and it wasn't with RICE. On one of my windows boxes an NTP application was correcting the time too often... and BOINC would exit immediately after the time correction (even if it was only a 1 or 2 second correction) and issue that 'may need to reset project if this happens repeatedly' message. Well, no... I didn't need to reset (though I did try it, to no avail), all I had to do was tell the NTP app to stop correcting the time every hour. Now it does it once/day... BOINC still exits as soon as it sees the time change, but I just ignore that message because it's NOT happening repeatedly. Still, the tasks it was working on were making progress. I think I would suspend that work unit and let it crunch another until I heard what to try from someone 'official' (which I am NOT). edit1: changed 'suspend that task' to 'suspend that work unit' [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Feb 24, 2010 12:11:01 PM] |
