It was previously posted that cancelling excess WU, as suggested, will rarely result in someone else getting that WU to crunch. They will just disappear, usually unless the WU does not get validated by enough of the existing copies already released.

Congrats on the emerald, though I'd say your timing was more luck than skill.

I was a little unlucky, I wasn't paying much attention to the expected finish dates so I started my run for emerald just too late, even though I dragged my rather ropey laptop out of it's sick bed to help. I was tempted to buy an i7 just to make it, but I felt that would be cheating myself and taking the challenge out of it. The nail-biting race to the finish is more fun.

Had I managed to scrape another 9 days or so of NRW units I'd have managed it. As it is it looks like I'll be around 74 days short when my last few stragglers finally return and validate.

Oh well, on to HFCC and DDT2 for the next race to the line.
