You can let the rest of the team have the remaining WUs. It was previously posted that cancelling excess WU, as suggested, will rarely result in someone else getting that WU to crunch. They will just disappear, usually unless the WU does not get validated by enough of the existing copies already released.![]() You can check the status of an in-progress WUs, and if it is not validated for the wingmen it will got out again if aborted. When I realized that my cruncher grabbed too many a few weeks back (somehow more than I set the queue for) I selectively aborted WUs and watched them get resent within a few minutes. Wohoo! Ran out of WUs over the weekend and just saw that I made it to Emerald with 1:002:05:14:53! I had serious doubts, because I think I was doing the math based on a status that was already old by several hours. We are still glad you got your emerald merit badge. Now mozy on over to the other events and try for some more badges.Cheers ![]() ![]() |

If you want the first badge fast, then concentrate your research in 1 project. You can set your computer(s) to 1 project in My Grid/My Projects.
Sadly for you, Nutricious Rice is almost finished, so it's better to select another project like Aids, Cancer, Muscular Dystrophy or Human Proteome. Again for a fast first badge: stay away from the intermittent projects and for now away from Dengue Drugs because they do not have work for you to do all the time. Good luck, and thanks for helping with WCG! |

Maybe better than Human Proteome, as this one might run out of work units by the end of the month... ![]() Regards, Martin ![]() |
