Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

From what little experience I have with DDDT2, it seems that the waves of WUs come aprox every 6 months... so we should start to see them again around Dec-Jan.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Well, I've had all my machines asking for nothing but the DDDT2 task since I saw the announcement yesterday in https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,34244 but I haven't seen a single DDDT2 work unit, yet.

Edit: Wrong thread - https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewpostinthread?post=400903 - is the specific post to which I'm referring.

Most of them are now down to nothing but Einstein and Docking work, but with a project weight of 1000 in the profile I made for DDDT2, they're all asking away and will switch right to them as soon as the work units start raining.

I notice the server no longer responds with the 'no type A work units available' et cetera messages specific to DDDT2, by the way.

What was said is, that they were submitted for Alpha testing [type 0 so to speak] quote
I will submit the 2000 ligand GSBP calculation for the pre-run calculation shortly...

When they pass scrutiny, then the A/B/C are generated, with weeks/months gaps to verify each step.

Whilst, ZoSo, you missed out on crunching other WCG work ;>)

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

NB: Now that early retirement was announced of DDDT2, at "just" 19% of the projected 22.3 million tasks, I'll not pursue me 4 year goal and let others have a go at their first level, bronze or whatever badge level still to attain.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

I think that SekeRob is referring to this post with his "early retirement" statement: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,34244

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

This post seems to suggest that the next rain will be soon than December/January.

https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/...ad,32956_offset,60#400903

But after reading SekeRob post it seems that it may actually take weeks or months until we see the first WU.

Did I got it right from SekeRob post?

Thanks

Yet they're all still merrily crunching away on Einstein and Docking work, though it appears there's a problem at the Docking site... so what is it I'm missing out on again, exactly?
