Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

But after reading SekeRob post it seems that it may actually take weeks or months until we see the first WU.

Did I got it right from SekeRob post?

Thanks

Right now, we are alpha testing some work units. If that goes perfectly, pre-run work units could be generated after alpha testing is completed. Once all of the pre-run work units are completed, type A work units would be generated and made available. Even under the best of circumstances, I would expect it to take at least two weeks before any type A work units would be available (and that's assuming everything goes flawlessly). A more likely estimate would be further out than that.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Many thanks Seippel
This is very good info
Althought there are a few variables that will influence the date when the first wu's will be available, that 2 weeks or more estimate gives us a lot to work with...
everyone, keep alert from now on

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Were the techs working on Thanksgiving? If there is a signal besides the promise to speed up the Validated result migration to the Master database [to speed up the scheduler], certainly my 25+ pages of old DDDT2 results have suddenly gone. :O

(Now have 2.5 pages of valid left, where normally around 7-11)

edit: Of course, there's that default filter request [to hide anything old that was validated], but oldest at the moment not 18 hours is radical.

Hmm, all my old DDDT2 WUs are gone, too! That can only be a good sign! :)

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Has anyone been receiving WUs? SekeRob's chart has been drifting down from project 59 days left on November 14 (I think) down to 42 today. I want some. crying

Cheers

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

No prisoners taken, the PI said this project would complete "within the next few months" http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,34244 i.e. injected a linear count down of 60 days [and hours later, one of the DDDT2 scientists posting that an A type batch was in preparation, which would make this to last from point of release months to complete through end of the C-Type series]. Whatever days plotted on whoever say so, considering that what-else comes [lest there's a Eureka justifying more], this is the last batch is the impression. Anyway, from the post-doc's post to now, 20 days have passed, and nothing has moved [on the visible side].
