 Nice to meet you again, BTW  Four years are fine, and you'll have many more. I send all my best to your mom who has a fine breast cancer track record as well I wish her all the best winning the thyroid cancer battle I cannot wait to see rcc's reaction, but in the meantime please accept this in my country's colors as a thank you for doing this:  |

Sorry about your mom. Mine had thyroid growths [benign] that twisted her esophagus around and made it hard to swallow, so I'm getting sympathy twinges just remembering.
But congrats on the survivorship. That's what it's all about. @ the grammar posts. I'm learning that languages like Farsi don't have as many verb tenses, no gender [which makes for funny he/she mixups] and no articles. I may learn it by accident just teaching English! |

Thanks for the good wishes and the roses! I am hoping to be able to increase my crunching output a bit now, since I just got a new quad-core laptop for work. It has hyper-threading, so I see 8 WU's crunching at once!

Did you notice that rcc has entered his team in two challenges in memory of Steve Jobs? You arrived just in time. They start tomorrow. I'm sure rcc will let you know how you may be able to tweak your multicore system a bit  Hey, the delivery van just swung by again  |

I've already changed my work profile to include HFCC and HCC. It also will be picking up DSFL and the occasional CEP WU as well though. I changed the profile for my husband's laptop to pick up HFCC and HCC also. He doesn't crunch CEP because he thinks it slows down his computer, so he should be delivering a good number of HFCC and HCC.

Hi everyone. I would like to welcome gretchch and grumpygrampy to The survivors.
----------------------------------------gretchch I see that you are an established cruncher and cancer survivor. grumpygrampy is a new WCGrid cruncher that I asked to join us. Welcome to the team. We are signed up for two challenges but I feel that participation is an individual choice each member must make. I am signed up for projects HFCC and HCC exclusively and will run my computers 24/7 from 10/10-10/31. To get the most bang I have loaded up to 10 days of work and suspended network activity until after 8:00 PM EDT today. Because the results are gathered and recorded using UTC I have adjusted for the -4 hour difference. If you do as I am doing be sure you know your offset so that you do not restore network activity before the challenge begins. There have been a number of Base Campers and other team members that have trekked on over to help get this group on its way. I am very appreciative for the help and cannot thank you enough. Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some battle. Please join the team The survivors |
