Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

I read in the beta description thread that work units are going to checkpoint 49 times. On a shorter running tasks will tasks still checkpoint the 49 times? I am asking purely out of curiosity in terms of hard drive write frequency.. I am not able to test this as I am yet to receive any work.. I am feeling hopeful
I wish everybody success with this beta

YOU determine the write frequency through the "Write to disk at most every nn seconds"setting, default 60 seconds. Since a very long time I've set it to 999 seconds, 17 minutes (when the field would not allow larger numbers).

Got just one of these WUs so far,and I started it manually.
BETA_ OPN1_ TEST029_ 0005_ 1--
It ran for only 15 sec, and the wingman took 14 sec. Both log files look "normal".
Currently Pending Validation.

I sure hope we find some drug leads for SARS-2/CoVid19 that lead to drugs that significantly reduce the chances of infected people progressing to severe disease.

I picked up several OPN1 WUs. Some ran for just a few minutes but some ran much longer including some which will take ~15 hours.

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

Picked up one, it ran a little over 8 hours on my slowest machine. I did see this at the end of the log :
INFO:[06:50:13] End AutoDock...
WARNING: No benchmark data to run!
INFO:Cpu time = 29454.892012
06:50:16 (2948): called boinc_finish(0)
Not sure what it means, otherwise seems normal.
Cheers

Yeah, I got "WARNING: No benchmark data to run!" at the end of my stderr too.

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

I received 4 WU's.
All are about the same size (about 3.5 hrs each).
I suspeneded and restarted them, rebooted my computer and they all worked just fine.

Apart from the "WARNING: No benchmark data to run!", they seem to be good.

One has this, which I assume is of interest and appears to be a receptor being found:

Finished Docking number 11
AG Check: Found receptor.A.map
INFO:[08:49:20] Start AutoDock for a_ZINC000741017419.dpf(Job #0)...
INFO: In AutoDock main_autodock()
Beginning AutoDock...
INFO: Setting num_generations: 9999999
About to enter main loop...(dockings already completed: 12)
Finished Docking number 12

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

Good morning,

The Warning about no benchmark is fine. A benchmark is not being used currently for this application. Also, the found receptor.A.map is a file that is generated by the application when it first starts up. Finding it means that part doesn't need to be rerun to restart from checkpoint.

Thanks,
-Uplinger
