@Cyclops I am hoping that you can share more day-by-day details on how things are progressing with the recovery. I had sent several emails to the support mail but it seems that no one is available to respond to those emails. Hi bfmorse, you should have received responses to your support emails. If you did not get any of them, we'll have to look into our emailing system for any issues. |

Cyclops: Please create a locked thread with only the Krembil updates. The signal to noise ratio in the threads you create are very low. Cheers ![]() +1 ![]() |

@Cyclops Responses to original and "reply all" messages have been sporadic so, I don't know if the issue is system related or something else.I am hoping that you can share more day-by-day details on how things are progressing with the recovery. I had sent several emails to the support mail but it seems that no one is available to respond to those emails. Hi bfmorse, you should have received responses to your support emails. If you did not get any of them, we'll have to look into our emailing system for any issues. I usually include my login email along with a secondary email address for my cell phone that I CC the message to (reason for "reply all" messages), My intent being: I am able to see a reply on my cell phone when I am at work and have the opportunity to reply to any questions or comments in a more timely manner. I have both originated and replied to messages from my primary email's computer and my cell phone's email. I have not yet attempted to troubleshoot the issue from my end. Let me know what you find out and if the email issue has been completely resolved or is still a work-in-progress. |

Well, we're getting into "later this week", as mentioned by the updated ( March 27) first post by Cyclops in this thread. No life from BOINC, and no more updates about the problem from the team.
So, I guess that this week will probably not be the week when BOINC restarts. It's soon 17:00 hours in Toronto, and the team as well as the data center, will close shop and go home. |

The way things are going, I strongly suspect that we'll be "celebrating" a 1 month anniversary of this original issue...

It doesn't take much for a very brief update, EACH AND EVERY DAY, until we're 'back on our feet'... Working on a 5 day week, say an update post would take 5 minutes that is 25 minutes that could be focused on fixing a problem. I am more than happy with 1 to 2 week updates. Keep up the great work team. When you are ready I will be here to help ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Speedy51 at Mar 29, 2023 10:11:36 PM] |

MarkH ... The next decision point will depend on how reliable the WCG runs. I am done with continually hitting the retry button to get WU downloaded from WCG. ARP is my favorite WCG project so hopefully it will be stable and I will continue WCG until at least the end of ARP. It is a bit off-topic, but maybe this can help someone. About "...hitting the retry button..." — in the Linux distros, you could add a CRON job to do the hitting for you.
