So, it's now even later in the week, and it would be nice to get some update about whether or not the "later this week" restart of BOINC, is still on the table.

It's really not a question about patience anymore, it's rather a question about how many of us (including you and your team) will become (psych) patients, before this is all over

There are many more frustrating aspects I do not need to share with you all.

Hopefully the remaining data transfer will continue without additional failure.

We are exploring the possibility to restart downloading processed WUs, while not sending new WUs out. Once we are certain it will not create some unforeseen feedback loop, triggering other errors - we will notify you and start the process.
if all goes without additional hickups - we may be able to restart fully by Monday.

Glad to hear you fell back to F@H while WCG gets restarted; some people are so angry they're giving up on WCG entirely (or say they are). I wish I could afford the high-end commercial hardware, the hot female staff to maintain it, and the evil-lair mansion to keep it in (and them in), but.... [:

And yes, the newest computer does excellently with WCG, and does very well with FAH. Finishing an 18 hour job as I type, then I give it a couple of hour break before grabbing the next FAH job. But I will return to WCG; I can run 4-5 WCG jobs at a time, giving me more than 50 run in 24 hours, without running my computer at 'maximum theoretical power'. I also limited FAH to 6 out of 8 cores for the same reason.
