I've pretty much fallen flat no my face with my recent recruitment efforts -- very disappointing. We've only recruited three new members in this drive, and one of them was my son. I haven't done much on that front, but I've gotten nothing either - a zero-interest response (they aren't even interested enough to click on the link), or they're already crunching for another grid (fortunately I haven't met any direct competitors on WCG yet). Welcome back again. Did you ever look into a way to get rid of the picture of the two people looking up at (a UFO??) on the home page? Seems a little goofy still. Thanks, Dave. Hi back to ya. Goofy, right. I haven't worked on it yet, perhaps Friday night I'll be able to slip in an hour to find a suitable image and weave it into the banner graphic. Or, I'll just float a big brewski in the upper left of the image...Give them something to be staring at. Cheers FB |

Hi,
I am going to change my sig in one of the homebrewing forums to include a link to the homepage, as well as advertise my wcg stats in the same way as they are shown on this forum. I probably won't be able to figure out how to do it.... but it is worth a shot! Rob |

Thanks, Dreamboat. I haven't tried to add any sort of stats, .gif, or banner, etc., to my sig because I do most of my posting in various mailing lists and newsgroups, and don't know how they would handle that. This is my sig right now (I change it occasionally):

Hello, V_R. It was nice of you to drop by. Hacking our way to the Top-100 is getting slower every day because of the points spread. We're now #127, but should make it to #126 tonight, then #125 Sunday night, and maybe pass SuperBytes Belgium on Tuesday night to become #124. After that, we're going to slow down quite a bit, and it will probably be at least several more days before we can pass another team. If we could just manage to recruit a few more people, but nobody seems to care. Oh well, we must keep on trying.
