Maybe the Finnish mermaids do that, Bearcat. It depend on landing ground.. If they rise on rocky shore, then they can transform tail to legs... But if they land on sandy beach, unfortunately they are deemed maintain fish tail... I think we still have some medieval law that allows harpooning any mermaid evolving on sandy beach... ![]() |

Well, I started to upgrade the IS department workstations where I work. I've decided to upgrade from Ubuntu 10.10 to Xubuntu 12.04. I have 13 left to upgrade.
I just can't see the benefit going to any OS that is running the new version of GNOME and KDE. And unity on ubuntu is a waste of time. I just don't see it staying around, but I could be wrong. To bad I can't load boinc on them ![]() |

Cheers I'll ping when got some another picture, I think next one will bloom in couple of month, so not many updates expected per year ![]() But sure, I do not try grow anything on outside anymore. Got some luftwaffle pay a visit and found myself reluctant to study 101 öbaut chemical warfare. Was thinking more like relaxing hobby or something, not reacting battle of Somme... It's funny how real world can be so different than one on movies.... ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by ultimaThule at Aug 2, 2012 3:07:54 PM] |

I like the user interface, and I have had no problems with versions 11.10 or 12.04. I can't stand Unity or Gnome 3. I'm testing Lubuntu 12.10 alpha on one netbook for the fun of it. I'd tried Lubuntu 11.10 for a while. I liked that it's even faster and lighter weight than Xubuntu, but it had some stability issues. So far Lubuntu 12.10 is looking good. I may switch the other machines to it when the real release comes out in October. ![]() |

Never tried Lubuntu. I have a very old laptop I could try it on. May need to do that tomorrow night.
Just got my Rasberry Pi in the mail and loaded it up. It's very interesting how funtional this little device is. May mount it permently to the back of my tv and just switch the tv source to hdmi to browse the internet. Very Cool! |

My Raspberry Pi came earlier this week as well, but I haven't had time to set it up yet -- plan to this weekend. Should be fun! ![]() |
