Always did.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

The contribution is what it's all about for sure. I have one friend who just had huge surgery for metastasized bladder cancer, and another who is in hospice care from lung cancer that went to her brain. Crunching for HCC makes me feel as if there's something I can do (besides sending cards and the like). Running the other projects also makes me feel as if I'm "part of the solution" rather than "part of the problem."

Well said and agree.

Cheers

Once dated girl who get gradus III breast caner and she cry every night on my arms how much she is afraid to die....

So I would say that this stuff work also as consolatory item for those who want to share somebody dark destiny, because there is a tiny piece hope and it most certainly that hope, now matter how small, will help make through night easier.

There is two face on this coin... This project can help people and give consolation to those who want to share that dark destiny with the one they love.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

COPD took my mother rather fast. To early. Allot due to heavy smoking before she quit. Think she would have lived longer smoking. Seeing her pass away in her room was enough to push me more into crunching. Am hoping a project comes along that can offer some kind of hope for a longer life for others in the same situation.

Sorry to hear about your mother. Many of us have a number of personal motivators to continue and push on the research.

Cheers

Autumn is not here yet, but the days are shorter. We did have 50 F(10C) the other morning so that was refreshing. Not so today. Probably will be in the 80'sF(25-26C) today. Pumpkin and squash crop is looking well. Now I just hope the deer do not eat it again. smile

Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Some local -> global politic stuff...

Some paper dropped yesterday...

There is this one clause: "The new bank tax will be introduced."....

This should be domestic policy, but this is designed to be used inside of another governments.
This current northern model seems to be expansive one...

Literally there is four word in original text and it is absolutely own item. It create it own universe between items..
Before that there is usage of own car and after that some media tax.
So next bigger context is subtitle, it goes:"increase tax fairness and strengthen the state economy"
So you really cannot use this new tax in Finland, because this is heart of Nordic model (Sweden is soul or something) and about officials figures, state is in AAA -condition...
Local banks are on very good condition, they have manage to keep even retails services running on green during these years..
Last place on this planet, where you can use this tax is Finland quite literally... I mean that if you want to be fair...

I think this will be used to harmonized economies here, on future when some country ask for salvation packet for it's economy, it will get vote from Finland if they do agree to introduction this very same tax.
This new tax has been created for European Union, not for Finland....

Some mess got when upset northern rednecks, they will be sorry for next six hundred years tongue

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

I just got my Raspberry Pi up and running. Cool! I finally got a huge work project out the door yesterday, so finally got to do this this morning.

Brink, the R Pi Raspbian Wheezy OS uses the LXDE desktop -- same as Lubuntu. The R Pi's version seems to be more stripped down, though -- fewer choices on each menu than there are by default in Lubuntu.

(Edited to add OS version)
