Re: Minnesota Crunchers

On those cases where dudes perform 7 day week, salary is 250%-300%.

Basic scema is that since:
- Salary
- Sunday +100%
- Overtime +50% two first hours / +100% after two hours
- Seven workday week +100%

Some pic, few radicals (not the molecule without electron, the philosophical stuff) did occupy University Old student house .

That basic schema is, in my humble opinion, very generous, so much so that it is virtually unheard of here. Perhaps those young ladies should count their blessings rather than making banners which embarrass themselves. If they are at university, they should be more articulate in expressing their opinion.

Paradoxically salaries here on public sectors are bigger than on private one, and there is wheelbarrow of odd rules. One of my favorite is that if two counties join together (we still basically have horse era countylimitis here) to safe money. It will lead situation where two dude(tte) will perform same job, but since they are on public sector, poor dude(tte) loosing his/hers job, has 5y (jup, five year) term of notice.
It is literally very much easier to get divorce on conservatism catholic nation, than loose job here on pub-sector. They know their rights, they know they are untouchable.

I think this is what our new prime minister mean on his speach with words: "We were the first ones to tell Greeks how to life, let's now take our own medicine"

Sgt. Joe,

I noticed your numbers have gone through the roof in recent days. Did you get a massive new crunching system? Awesome...

I had been all in on MCM1 for a long time. I am a bit partial to cancer projects. I have a couple of systems which for some reason beyond me started to show a slowdown from I would consider normal, so I switched them to OET for a bit. They are on Linux so the yield on any project running Vina is about twice that of MCM1. I think the stress on the systems is less on that project. It could have been the high heat and humidity we had affected them too, so I gave them a little respite. Now that it is cooling off somewhat I may ease them back into MCM1 until the project is completed. I see my latest batch on MCM1 is 17066 so we are looking at another 434 batches to go. Since we are going through about 200 batches a week, that is a little more than 2 weeks left of new work units unless the scientists decide to add more. If I was just into this for the points I would convert all my systems to Linux and run them all on anything Vina related. Hope all is well with you.

Cheers

Um, let's see:
Turn on the electric balnket ?
Stockpile firewood ?
Change the oil in my cars ? (Sorry, this is for those of you who remember when we did not have multi-viscosity oils )
Jack Frost will be painting my windows ?
I need to scrape my car windows in the morning ?
I can store the window air conditioner again ?
It's time to clean out the garden ?
Time to put the snow tires on ?
Time for the winter tune-up ?
Time to bring the flower pots in to put in the basement?
Oktoberfest ?

Oh, and all my systems can go full bore !

Cheers

If weather keeps around low 70's, then will fire up the beast. Keeps the bedroom warm in the winter.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Hello fellows.

Some new basil here....
This is funny experiment since it has grow on current size on one month under 4W led lamp... Sure, on very dark corner without even hint of daylight, only tiny led lamp above. Kind of makes me wonder that it would not necessary take so much energy to provide some tiny rain forest.

Only exception with this dude(tte) is, that did pour some horse food to water. Carrying idea that seaweed is jammy for plants generally... Sure does not seems to torture or anything tongue

Plant looks plenty healthy. Whatever you are feeding it seems to be working.
